My friend Barbara tipped me off to the GF menu at Finnish Bistro when they offered a Living Social deal about a week ago (be sure to read both sides for all the GF choices – it’s formatted kind of weird as two separate PDFs on their site).  I missed the deal, but her mention of the GF Almond Kringler got my mouth watering, so when we needed an evening meal spot, we decided to hit it up.  I had enjoyed Finnish Bistro in my pre-GF days but hadn’t been back, and we were not disappointed!

The incredible House "Salaatti" (Salad) at Finnish Bistro in Como neighborhood, St. Paul. Read the full review on TwinCitiesGlutenFree.com!

The House “Salaatti” (Salad) was a meal unto itself: “Juicy chicken breast caramelized with apples & mixed berries all drizzled on a bed of fresh spinach topped with toasted walnuts, and blue cheese crumbles.” Ah-may-zing. One of the best salads I ever had.

Sadly, no almond kringler!!  They were all out; I suppose because they sold so many Living Social deals!  🙂  Oh well, a good reason to go back. 🙂
